Windows 10: Mouse and key combinations

Right now I'm using my notebook with a mouse whose right button is not working. It doesn't go down when I press it.

The touchpad is working OK, but I'm not comfortable with it. I like to use the mouse and the keyboard together to speed up things the most I can, and I'm very good a it!

This mouse issue is a hardware problem I can solve using another mouse. And I know there is the Shift + F10 keyboard shortcut I can use in some contexts, as well as the accessibility options to set the keyboard to move the mouse pointer, etc.

But I wonder if there are ways to combine the left mouse and BTW the right button with the keyboard to run commands.

For instance, Shift + left click to open the context menu.

I couldn't find anything like that in Windows. Do you know a program or something that can make that kind of combinations?

It would be great if I could have a set of such combinations to do extra tasks at least with the Win, Alt, Shift, and Ctrl keys and using both the left and right mouse buttons.

Key combinations not working

Thanks for following up. In here, you can find the list of all the keyboard shortcuts in Windows 10. Check it out and
see which key combinations are still working on Windows 10, and which are not.

We also tested on our end and only the Alt + F and Alt + P are working fine, and this is on a PC that is on the Fall Creators Update. May we suggest that you update your operating system to 1709 and see if the key combinations will work.

We'll keep an eye out to your response.

 

Combination of CTRL, SHIFT, ARROW keys not repeating

Thank you for the suggestion but that does not resolve the issue i.e. the combination does not seem to work even when I am using the On Screen Keyboard.

The only change I made was to install an upgrade from Microsoft. Nothing else.

Any other suggestions??

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
2. Select or click Ease of Access.
3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
5. Check if issue is resolved.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
