Windows 10: mouse and keyboard not working together

I bought a new Logitech mouse and have a LOGI keyboard. When I connect the new mouse it will not type on the computer screen. If I use the mouse that came with the keyboard it works. Can I fix it so a new mouse will work with this keyboard?
