Windows 10: Mouse Cursor always appears as pointer, never changes to hand or edge grabber

For a few days now I've noticed a strange issue with my computer. It's running Windows 10, and since I saw this issue I've updated it to the most recent version of 10. I should also note that I haven't changed mice or anything, I'm still using the same input devices I've been using for years.As I move my mouse cursor around the screen and it intersects with non-maximized windows the pointer will jump slightly but will remain the arrow pointer. Normally it would change to the two arrows pointing in both directions to indicate you can click to adjust the size of the window, but that doesn't happ

Revert to plain mouse pointer and cursor

I changed the mouse pointer and cursor size and color and I hate it. I want my regular mouse pointer and cursor back. Particularly, I don't want that stupid little hand to appear when I hover over a link. How do I revert it back to the regular mouse pointer?

I did go to the place where you suggested, and all it shows is the straight cursor and the arrow pointer. That box is already clicked.

Sounds like if I want to have the arrow pointer, I have to use the mouse?

 

Change the color of the mouse pointer

To access the settings of chaning the color of the mouse pointer please follow these steps:

1. Go to settings.

2. Click on the "Ease of Access" tab.

3. On the left panel select Cursor & pointer.

4. Then on the right hand side you will see Change pointer color, choose the colorde one then select the one you prefer.
