Windows 10: Mouse cursor disappears in Windows 11 even though option to hide cursor while typing is...

Just got a brand new PC w Windows 11 installed. So annoying that mouse cursor disappears from screen after a few seconds of idle time. I've tried to troubleshoot this, including making sure the option to hide cursor while typing is DISABLED, disabling and re-enabling the mouse, looking for updated driver, etc. Nothing is fixing this problem. Is this a bug in Windows 11? I can't get any support from Microsoft either...tried calling their phone support and literally get hung up on by the automated system, which tells me to look for a solution online. Cursor disappears while typing in text box

After clicking in a text box, the cursor disappears if the mouse/cursor moves anywhere but in the same text box. I cannot click in the text box and write unless I make sure the mouse is held in the same box. Windows 10

any suggestions?

 

Mouse cursor disappearing

Whenever I close my windows 10 laptop, my mouse cursor disappears. Without a cursor I can't click on anything. Is their any way to prevent it from disappearing?

 

Mouse cursor disappears in some apps when typing not others

One of my users is complaining that their mouse disappears and it's annoying trying to find it. In testing I have found it to happen in both Windows 10 and 11. In Word, Publisher, and notepad. It's happening in Office 2016, 2019, and 2021.

I looked around and disabled "Hide my cursor when typing" from the mouse settings and disabling hardware acceleration in Word with no success. It's almost like these programs are ignoring the setting?

Any help would be appreciated.
