    Mouse cursor freeze


    Hello,


    My mouse cursor freezes from time to time which is very annoying.

    I only use Windows for gaming purposes.

    I spent the last 2 months away from my Windows computer. I came back last week, played a bit and then did the updates I missed. I noticed the problem after I rebooted. The freezes are not that long, usually 1 or 2 seconds but they happens sometimes while gaming, that's why it's bothering me.

    I also noticed that opening the task manager always triggers it. Opening other programs may trigger it as well.


    My PC is recent, I've got an AMD Ryzen 2700x CPU, 16GB RAM DDR4 and an AMD 5700XT GPU. The drivers are up to date and I never had any problems before.

    Windows is installed on a 1To SSD. Everything runs fine and fast except for that tiny frustrating bug that wasn't there before I updated.


    Did anyone have this problem? Do you know what may have changed during these last two months, maybe an option somewhere to disable?

    No mouse cursor

    Hi,

    It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Shutdown the computer.
    • After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
    • Wait for 1 minute.
    • After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
    • Check if you will see the mouse cursor.

    Let us know how it goes.

    The problem with the mouse. The cursor freezes

    While browsing the web, the mouse cursor freezes. You need to reset the computer to continue to browse the web.

    Please reply to the following questions to help you further:

    • When does the mouse freeze?
    • Are you using a USB mouse or touchpad of laptop?
    • Since when are you facing this issue?
    • Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?

    However, you can try updating the mouse driver and check if that resolves the issue. Follow the steps from the article

    Update drivers in Windows 10     to update the mouse drivers.
