Windows 10: Mouse Cursor Snapping Issue

HiRecently I encountered a few issues related to the mouse cursor not snapping the corners of the object I was selecting. Below are some examples:1. In Excel, when you select a cell and move the cursor to the bottom right corner of the cell where the dot is, normally the cursor would change to a black cross and allow you to drag and fill. Now it won't recognize the corner. When I click the dot, it will just select the adjacent cell.2. In Word, when I insert / paste a picture and try to adjust the size, normally you can just move the cursor to the corner and click/drag to adjust the pic size.

Cursor Lags or Snaps - Not a Mouse Issue

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if that helps.

Method 1: Follow the below steps to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad drivers and check the status.

• Click start and type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press
  enter.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices
• Right click on the touchpad
  driver and choose uninstall.
• Reinstall the drivers from the manufacturer’s website
• Check if it works fine.

Method 2: I suggest you to install the latest mouse drivers for Windows 10 from the manufacturer's website and install
it in compatibility mode and check.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

a) Download the audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

b) Right-click on the driver and click on ‘properties’.

c) Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility
mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down.

d) Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’
and run the file to install it.

No mouse cursor

Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

• Shutdown the computer.
• After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
  
• Wait for 1 minute.
• After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
• Check if you will see the mouse cursor.
