Windows 10: Mouse Disconnecting continuously - Tried all basic solutions already

Hello,


I bought a second-hand desktop that is custom made.


The mouse and the keyboard keep on disconnecting randomly. Sometime just once, sometime 3 times in a raw.


It's really annoying and stop me to do many things.


I ve look a lot online this is what I have tried :

- using another mouse - not working

- disable power turn off usb port - not working

- search for new drivers - installed - not working

- disable ubs root in device manager - not working

- disable mouse in device manager - not working

- rebooting computer to factory settings - not working



Please let me know if there is something else that I can do. I have seen on a forum that it could be a registry problem because i use a usb mouse but i also have a PS/2 port. But they were not giving any solutions.

mouse is not working right


unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.

Sculpt comfort mouse disconnection at frequent intervals

I have 2 of these mice and have had continual problems for several years on
multiple devices. The mouse disconnects during use at seemingly random intervals.

1. Turning the mouse off and on has no effect.
2. Disabling power management for the mouse has no effect.
3. In the past I've managed the problem by sleeping the PC and when it wakes, the mouse starts working again. However doing this dozens of times a day is extremely frustrating.
4. I recently discovered that if I launch the Mouse and Keyboard center app, connection is reestablished. However, leaving the app running does not solve the problem either. The mouse will still disconnect and the app has to be restarted to fix the connection.

Clearly this is an ongoing hardware/software bug because the problem persists with multiple mice on multiple PCs.

If I can't get a solution then I will have to throw these mice in the trash.

 

Wifi continuously disconnects


This just started happening only a few days ago, I'm not sure what might have caused it, but my laptop will suddenly disconnect from my wifi network. sometimes it won't disconnect, but just stop receiving/sending packets. I can tell this because suddenly my pages are stuck loading and skype is trying to reconnect, but nothing happens until I manually disconnect.

I have tried

• Troubleshooting
  
  But I usually get "Your proxy setting could not be recognized" or something, even though I don't have any proxy settings.
• Uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest driver for my wifi card
• disabling power saving for the wifi card as talked about here
• Everything mentioned on the Microsoft page here

This has been driving me crazy, ethernet works fine. I can connect my phone to wifi and tether it to my laptop, so this shouldn't be a problem with the router.
