Windows 10: Mouse freezes to top left is screen

My mouse jumps to the top left of my screen and I can not get it to leave there or click anywhere else. Sometimes I can move it for a second, but it jumps right back up to the top left. I have to turn my computer off and back on to fix it. Windows 11 home edition.

Mouse Jumps to the Left Side of the Screen

Hi,
I made sure that the mouse and keyboard had new batteries and was clean, no stuck keys. My antivirus software is up to date but the pointer still jumps to the top left of screen while typing, browsing or when I am not doing anything or just reading news articles on the screen. Just did it again whilst typing this message.

Any suggestions most welcome

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and device troubleshooter and check.

• 
  Type “troubleshooting” in the search box and click on
  troubleshooter
  
• 
  In the left pane, click on View all
  
• 
  Now click on Hardware and device and follow the on screen instructions.
  

I suggest you to Un-install and Re-install Mouse drivers in compatibility mode and check if it works.

Refer the steps to install a driver in compatibility mode:

• 
  Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  Properties
  
• 
  Select Compatibility Tab
  
• 
  Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

mouse jumps to top left corner of screen

I have surface pro 4 running twin monitors.

Mouse cursor keeps jumping up to top left hand corner of screen and opening whatever file shortcut is up there.

It is rendering the computer unusable.

Something to do with trackpad sensitivity?
