Windows 10: Mouse having "driver is unavailable" problems

I have a wireless mouse I don't remember what brand that I use all the time, and it works just fine. I forgot it at a friend's house and won't be able to get it for the next two weeks. I've been trying separate mice as of right now, I have tried three different ones and none of them are working on my laptop, but they work on every other computer. When I go into my settings, I see that the mouse that is plugged in says "driver is unavailable". I have tried going to their websites and attempting to download the driver, but the ones I have been to do not have the download for the model that I have. And the models of the mice are NOT old makes. I have reset my computer, tried all three USB ports, and even tried figuring out what was happening in device manager. Nothing worked, and I have yet to find a mouse that cooperates with my computer. Please help! I have an HP computer, Version 1803, OS build 17134.765 Please let me know if anybody has any way to solve this problem. Thank you!

The error Driver is unavailable means that there is no available driver installed for your mouse that’s why it is not working. We suggest that you check the mouse driver from the device manager. Follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
• Look for Mice and other pointing devices and click it to expand.
• Check if there is a driver for the wireless mouse.

If there is none, we suggest that you visit the manufacturer’s website of the mouse and download then install the latest mouse driver compatible to Windows 10.

My wireless mouse stopped working suddenly, and I am getting the "Driver is unavailable" error message. Corrective measure taken so far have included changing the batteries, installing a new wireless mouse and rebooting several times. I am still receiving
the same error message. What additional steps do I need to take?

This can be caused by the mouse drivers, or an issue with the hardware itself. To isolate your concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

• Were there any changes made to your computer settings prior to this issue?
• Did you try using the mouse on a different computer to see if it is still working?
• What are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you run the Hardware Troubleshooter on the computer. This will detect and correct errors with the hardware automatically. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows logo key + S on your keyboard.
• Type Troubleshooting and select it from the list.
• Select Hardware and Sound, then Hardware and Devices.
