Windows 10: Mouse is screwy after Win 10 May update

Hello.

As soon as I updated Win 10 my mouse has been non-functional and hence my computer too. The mouse hightlights everything when I move across the screen.


I've probably shut down and restarted at least 20 times, trying different things.

The nearby Microsoft store could fix it but it would take 4 to 5 days.


So I borrowed a separate keyboard/mouse and uninstalled all the mouse drivers. One of the mouse drivers appears to be a duplicate.

This solved the problem but now whenever I restart the computer the problem comes back.ver


I am attaching photos of the drivers' information. I hope they are legible. I've spent about 3 hours putting them together.

Windows 10 - Mouse gets screwy

I suggest you to install available Windows updates including Optional updates and check if that helps you. If the issue still persists, refer to the following suggestion.

Method 1:

Please follow the steps to run hardware troubleshooter on the computer and check if that helps you:

a) Press Windows and X key together and select Control Panel.

b) Click on Troubleshooting.

c) Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.

d) Click on Hardware and Devicesoption.

e) Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Mouse driver from manufacturer’s website.

Follow these steps to Uninstall Keyboard driver.

• Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Search for Mouse driver and expand it.
• Right click on the Mouse driver and select
  Uninstall.
• I suggest you to download the latest Mouse drivers from the manufacturers website.

Glitched Mouse with most recent Windows Update!

Hardware Troubleshooter on the computer with the steps below:

• Press Windows logo key + S on your keyboard.
  
• Type Troubleshooting and select it from the list.
• Select Hardware and Sound, then Hardware and Devices.

Win 10 1607 update

Installed the update manually at the the moment everything is bueno.
It seems that Microsoft has a big problem in there update department windows 7 update has problems win 8 update has problems. Windows 10 update is so-so.
