Windows 10: Mouse issue for drop and dragging.. not releasing the window from one monitor to another

this issue is ongoing. Trying to get a fix for Drop n Drag a window or Highlight a section in a word perfect or online.. copy N Paste...my father who lives 4 hours away from me and I go once a month to help him. He tried to make his computer faster by using a run command listed below and ever since he has not been able to do the following. Drop n Drag a window or Highlight a section in a word perfect or online.. copy N Pastehe used this "run" command list he found: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Running main.cpl in the Run dialog

Hi Charles,

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

When using "Drag and Drop":

• "Alt + left mouse button" to create a Link/Shortcut
• "Ctrl + left mouse button" to Copy the file
• "Shift + left mouse button" to Move the file

• What is the make and model of your laptop?
• Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue? It would be best if you can send me a screenshot of the issue. You can use the
