Windows 10: Mouse jitters around because of sound?

I did some research on it, but couldn't find any similar cases on any forums.


As the title says, my mouse jitters around by itself. This only happens when there's sound playing, but it doesn't happen all the time. The mouse moves in small increments, though in a very erratic fashion. It doesn't matter if I'm moving it myself or not at all, the issue still persists.


I have a Behringer UMC404HD audio interface hooked up, which I use as my main audio driver. Had it for over a year now and this issue started happening about 2-3 months ago.


I'm posting from my phone right now, so feel free to ask if you anything like screen captures or extra info.

Mouse "jitters" when movin fast

This issue may arise due to driver conflicts. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices
troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall keyboard drivers and check if it helps.

Steps to uninstall and reinstall driver.

• Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
• In the list of devices, you should see the Mouse drivers.
• Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
• In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
• In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes”
  option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

jitter mouse movement in games.

Please provide us with the following information to understand the issue and assist you better:

• Which is the current operating system on your device?
• What exactly do you mean by : When going back to windows 7, the issue came with me?

If you are currently running Windows 7, I suggest you to download the chipset drivers from the computer manufacturer's website and install them.

Also I suggest you to contact the Logitech support team and check if there is any issues with the mouse.

I would suggest you to test the issue plugging in a different mouse and see if the issue persists.

You may also test the same mouse on a different computer and let us know the results.

I would also suggest you to follow these steps and test the issue:

• Click on Start.
• Search for Ease of Access and click on Ease of Access mouse settings.
• Turn on Use numeric keypad to move mouse around the screen.
• Check if the mouse moves in the right direction when you use the numeric keypad on the keyboard.
