Windows 10: Mouse Jittery - driving me mad

I'm not sure what is going on but in the last few days my mouse has been really jittery and it is driving me mad.Any ideas how I can fix this?Thanks

This is the original post on Dec 22, 2022:

• New build PC. Mouse will occasionally freeze and is jittery while frozen. Switching to a different mouse has no affect. I use a Kensington Expert wireless trackball but I have tried removing it and it's associated software. Removed it from Device manager. It still happens with a simple USB mouse. All mouse's (mice?) have been removed from Device Manager and PC restarted with the plain USB mouse. It still happens. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps that I can find in Google searches. I suspect that some program will occasionally pop up and conflict with any mouse and cause this issue.

Nicole Aljecera was helping me and she advised doing an in-place upgrade repair per this: which I did and it seemed to work for a while. (Thanks Nicole!).

The issue has now returned. I tried doing the Windows repair as before with no luck. I've now upgraded to Win 11 in hopes that it might solve it but it didn't.

It only happens for a while after first start up of the day and seems to go away after a while. It really looks like some program in the background is activating and conflicting with the cursor.

Is there any log file that I can look at to try and identify whether this is the case?

mouse pointer jittery

my cursor and mouse pointer are jittery and my swipe from right is not working. I have windows 10 and do not have hp simplepass as far as I know. I have made no changes or loaded any new software. Also touchscreen not working in all cases like touching
the upper right X to close will only work with mouse. At first the flickering mouse also had the loading circle beside it but not showing after a while.
