Windows 10: Mouse Keeps Flashing To Top Left Corner

Hello!
I am having troubles with my mouse.
I am currently on Windows 10 and have just encountered a problem.
It started when I closed down a tab and the mouse flashed to the top left corner of my screen, now as soon as I move the mouse it instantly moves it back. Something weird is sometimes when I open up a different tab for example a game, the mouse does the exact same thing but in the middle of the screen. I have tried unplugging and re-plugging the mouse back in AND Turning On and Off The Snap On mouse feature.

It seems that the driver of your mouse is not compatible with Windows 10 1709, since you've tried all the troubleshooting steps that can resolve the issue. In this case, we suggest contacting the mouse manufacturer to install the most updated driver that will
work with Windows 10 1709.

I've run into that type of problem not only on 10 but with 7 as well where a full restart at times will see it cleared up. Are you running with the first 10 upgrade or have you moved onto a clean install?

If still running the upgrade it has the obvious bug which you might see fixed by a run of the System File Checker(SFC) tool which will scan and replace any system files found to be missing or in bad shape! You simply right click on the Start button and scroll down to one of the command prompt options with the "Command prompt(admin)" being the preferred choice and once opened up at the dos like ">" prompt simply type in "sfc /scannnow" and press enter to get that going. It will run for several minutes after which you follow that with a restart to see if the problem clears up.

The alternative may be to consider a totally different browser if you are using Edge since that is still in it's own beta form and not actually a good replacement for IE 11 at this time which is still available for use by the way! Simply go into "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer" and right click on the iexplorer.exe file to see that pinned to the Start, taskbar, or both. The old IE icon when then appear.

Besides the upgrade if you are running the problem seems to be browser related. If you are already using some other browser like Firefox or Chrome if not Opera you may have to pick and choose another to go with instead where you won't be seeing the cursor hang on you.

 

Do you have a GPS unit connected?
Do you have a touchpad?

 

I think he may have found a solution since the thread is checked off solved? We'll have to see if Akscape replies back about that.

I used to see a similar problem only the spinning circle not the cursor sucked into one corner or frozen inplace in the center. When having multiple browser windows not tabs opened up one window would suddenly stall and when trying to click on it to close or hit the back button it would wash out with the "IE not responding" type error until I decided to go strictly 64bit along with the change of the default browser. While that can still be seen it seems to be rare and hasn't been experience on the 10 side of the 10/7 dual boot so far.

 

In my case the cursor moved every few minutes to upper left edge of screen regardless of whether I was typing or not. Sometimes even launched an icon at the desktop left edge. Issue solved by uninstalling Chrome Flash plugin.
