Windows 10: Mouse keeps waking PC

I have a new Huawei Laptop running Windows 11 which is up to date.However I have found that the mouse keeps waking it up when it goes to sleep DESPITE disabling the wake up this PC in Power Management in Control panel/device manager/ mouse/ hardware/ power management. I have even gone via windows settings / devices / mouse and found that the wake PC button is still disabled. I have no idea why the mouse is still waking up the PC despite unchecking these optionsI would appreciate help as I currently have to put the mouse in a drawer upside down to prevent my cats from waking up my PC accidental

It's always good to preserve your device's power by putting it on sleep mode. If your mouse is waking up the device, we suggest following the steps below as another workaround:

• Press Windows Key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
• Once Command Prompt window opens, enter the following command: powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
• You should be able to see the list of all devices that are allowed to wake up your computer. Enter
  powercfg -devicedisablewake “device name” into Command Prompt to stop a device from waking up your PC. Remember to
  replace “device name” with a name of the actual device. It’s also important to keep the quotation marks, so do not delete them.
• You can also use powercfg -deviceenablewake “device name” command to enable certain device to wake up your PC, but it is optional. You can find the name of the specific device by using the Device Manager.

Mouse keeps waking up PC from sleep

Hi,

I am trying to prevent my mouse from waking up my PC and currently haven't found a solution. Things tried:

Wake up feature from the mouse is currently unticked. In the keyboard section there are two HID keyboards. The second one is the mouse, since when I unticked the first HID keyboard and ticked the second one, only the mouse was able wake the PC from sleep.
If I tick only the first one, both mouse and keyboard can wake the computer from sleep. I am yet to find a solution to prohibit only the mouse from waking up the computer.

Any solution how to prevent only the mouse from waking up the PC?
