    mouse lagging in Windows 10


    Hi, I am using Windows 10 on a Dell desktop. Everything seems working fine but the mouse. At the beginning when I start my PC it works fine but after some time the mouse starts lagging and the cursor is actually very choppy to the point of not being responsive at all for seconds in a row. I have the feeling that this becomes worse after I use facebook or adobe acrobat but can't be 100% certain. When I go to the mouse settings it says that the drive is up to date. I would greatly appreciate if some one could suggest any ideas of how to debug and fix this problem. Maybe somebody has already come across it. Thanks in advance.

    Evaluate each of these in the off mode and then return to the on mode:

    1) Turn off fast start up:

    2) Turn off Cortana:

    3) Turn off core isolation memory:

    Mouse Lag!?!

    Basically what it does is remove the mouse acceleration in XP. The mouse will feel slower at first, but eventually you'll get used to it... the only reason why I suggested the mouse fix was because mouse acceleration sometimes causes the sensation of having a laggy mouse (laggy meaning responding slowly). If you meant lag as in jumping around and generally not being responsive, then I guess you'll need to wait for more suggestions *Smile mouse lagging in Windows 10 :)

    Hi Zbigniew,

    I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue. I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check. Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • Type Mouse and Touchpad Setting in Search and hit
      Enter.
    • Change settings as per your requirement; click on Advance mouse options.
    • Change settings under Buttons, Points, Pointer options, Wheel.
