Windows 10: Mouse not copying and pasting correctly, Drag and Drop issues.

Drag and Drop

Hi Charles,

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

Onenote app for windows 10 does not allow for drag/drop or copy/paste of files??

 

Copy/drag file from VMware and paste/drop into Outlook 2019 email

I realise this is quite a unique issue, but I am currently unable to copy/paste or drag/drop a file from Windows Explorer in a VMware Windows 10 guest instance directly into a new Outlook 2019 email message on a Windows 10 host machine.

Instead I have to open Windows Explorer on the host, copy/paste or drag/drop the file from the Windows Explorer on the guest... and then copy/paste or drag/drop the file from the Windows Explorer on the host into the Outlook message on the host.

It used to work with my old Windows 7 host machine and Outlook 2003, and the same VMware Windows 10 instance.

I've looked for options within Outlook 2019 to see if it's rejecting the file (because it's not from the same machine, etc) but I can't find anything obvious

To be clear, the ability to copy/paste and drag/drop between the guest and host is working correctly... it's purely the ability to go straight from the guest into Outlook that's failing.

To be honest, this isn't the biggest issue in the world and I'm not expecting much of a response, but if anybody has any ideas please let me know.
