Windows 10: Mouse not working after reset

I was gonna reset my computer and all of that went fine but when I was going to get it all up and running again my mouse did not work and I have tried to unplug and replug sevral times and trying other fixes that I find while searching about it a bit but nothing worked so now i'm wondering what I should do. My mouse worked fine before the reset and I tried several mice but none of them worked but they all worked on other computers and the mice I had on my computer before the reset also worked fine

unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.

Ive factory reset my computer but I can't use the mouse or the keyboard to select laugage

After a reset on Windows 10 my mouse has ceased working

This issue might occur if there is change in mouse settings.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you tried to check the issue with using another mouse?
• What is the make and model of the computer?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to plug and plug in the mouse. Then restart your computer and try to run Hardware troubleshooter.

Step 1: First I recommend you to plug out and plug in the mouse into the computer. Then check if mouse is working or not.

After that you may try to restart the computer.



Step 2: I suggest you to perform the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Check if it helps.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Type “Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on
Troubleshooting.

3. Click on View All on the left panel of the screen.

4. Click on Hardware and Devices.

5. Click on Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.
