    Hello. Title pretty much explains my problem. This is an issue I've had for three days so far. And it happened very spontaneously, too. I was working with my editor software that I use to edit audio. I was doing my work as usual until my mouse stopped reacting to my task commands. In this task, I wanted to drag audio across the audio track I was working in but my mouse wouldn't respond when I tried dragging the audio. I've also tried doing this with a trackpad to see if my mouse was the issue. Nothing worked. It seemed that my trackpad and mouse weren't responding to anything. The mouse moves

    Wireless Mouse stops working when external HDD plugged in to USB3 port

    I have a minor but annoying problem and can't find a solution....

    My wireless mouse stops working when an external USB3 HDD is plugged in to USB3 port. The mouse is about 3 feet away from the receiver.

    My mouse is a Logitech M310.

    • I don't have the problem if a USB 2 external HDD is connected to either a USB2 or USB3 port.
    • I have moved the mouse receiver to different ports on both the front and back of the computer but this doesn't change anything.
    • If I move the mouse very close to the receiver (a couple of inches), it works so it seems that the wireless range is reduced when the USB3 HDD is plugged in.
    • If I connect a wired mouse, it works fine.
    • I have 2 USB3 ports and the problem is the same on both.
    • If the USB3 HDD is connected to a USB2 port, the mouse works normally.
    • I changed the battery in the mouse but this didn't help.
    • the USB3 HDD is a WD Passport that is self powered through the USB port.

    Any suggestions?

    i was watching some vids with my gf, and suddenly my mouse stop working, like it was disconected, i tried to turn off my computer and tirning on again but it doesn't work...
    when i changed my mouse to the usb port of the front of the desktop it work, but only in those ports..
    i tried to update the drivers of the usb port from behind but nothing...
    and is just with the mouse.. when i change my keyboard to those usb port, the keyboard work perfectly...
    i don't know what is happen... those usb port doesn;t recognize my mouse and it just happen like 1 hour ago...
    can someone please help me..

    one usb port not working with mouse

    when uplugging my laptop my usb mouse stopped working, when i plugged the lapptop back in it still didnt work. i tried the mouse in a different usb port and it worked, so i think there is something going on with that specific usb port. the red light under
    the mouse still turns on when plugging into the troublesome usb port and it even has the system ping sound to say it is recognising something has been attached, but the mouse just wont work either clicking the buttons or moving it around.
