Windows 10: Mouse not working properly

I have a 128 GB system SSD and a 1TB HDD for my personal data. I have Windows 11 pro My system disk was was getting filled automatically without any movement. So, I do a reset to remove my all programs and reinstall windows.After the reset my mouse both USB and touchpad stop working properlySometimes it clicks twice for example:- If I want to close a program it closes both which I want to close and other behind itsometimes it automatically clicks or rolls on it's ownI tried to update the drivers but it was not fruit fullIf there's a way to deal with it please let me know

Wireless Mouse doesn't work properly

The different mouse that I tested on this works perfectly, but unfortunately, the mouse I used originally that I tested on the other computer, didn't work properly, just the buttons.

So, I bet that I'll either use the new mouse, which gets uncomfortable, because it's meant to be hidden in the computer via USB... Or, I buy a different mouse. Or, find the solution to the original problem..

• Test the mouse on a different PC.
• Test a different mouse on your PC.

 

mouse is not working right


unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.
