Windows 10: Mouse pointer dissapears

Mouse pointer dissapears when mouse is unplugged and touchpad isn't functional. I cannot use the touchpad even when the mouse is plugged in. Laptop Lenovo Legion Y540 is up to date and free of any malware. I have also updated "Mice and other pointing devices" driver. i don't know if this is relevant, but in the Keyboards section Device Manager one of the two "Lenovo Keyboard Device" drivers shows an exclamation mark warning, which I'm not able to fix with updates.

Mouse Pointer

Hi,

You can customize your mouse in a variety of ways in Windows. To change how your mouse pointer looks, you can follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the Start menu, then click Control Panel.
• Select Mouse, then go to the Pointers tab.
  
• Select the pointer you prefer from the drop-down list, click
  Apply > OK.

If you want to use a pointer that is not on the list, you can download it online. After that, go to Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers tab again, then click
Browse.

Can you try to troubleshoot your mouse pointer location? Please follow these steps:

1. In search window, search for "Change the mouse pointer display or speed"

2. In Mouse properties, go to Pointer Options tab

3. Tick the setting "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key"

4. Click Apply and Ok.

6. in keyboard, press the CTRL key. You will see a circle animation that points to where your mouse pointer is located. Can you see it?
