Windows 10: Mouse pointer issues... skips, stops and can become unusable

Hello,I have a windows 11 computer that is running 4 screens through a video card. I do not play games so the computer is not running hot. The issue is that the mouse stops, starts, skips and is basically glitching around the screen sometimes... not all the time. I comes and goes. I have looked up possible solutions and am not fining anything that helps. I have even spoke to a computer tech I know and he has no ideas either. Thank you for the help.

Mouse Pointer

Hi,

You can customize your mouse in a variety of ways in Windows. To change how your mouse pointer looks, you can follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the Start menu, then click Control Panel.
• Select Mouse, then go to the Pointers tab.
  
• Select the pointer you prefer from the drop-down list, click
  Apply > OK.

If you want to use a pointer that is not on the list, you can download it online. After that, go to Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers tab again, then click
Browse.

• Is it happening in all your activities?

Mouse pointer constantly has a wait circle.

To resolve this issue we need some information. Let us know the following.

• 
  Which Office application do you face this issue with?
  
• 
  Do you have the issue with all Office application or one or two?
  

Try opening one of your Office 2013 applications in the Safe Mode to check if an Add-In in the Office applications causes the issue.

Open Excel 2013 in the Safe Mode and check if you still have the mouse pointer flashing issue.

Follow the steps as suggested in the following Microsoft Article to open Excel 2013 applications in the Safe Mode:

Note: The above article lists steps for all Microsoft Office 2013 application/s, however, follow the steps to open the applications/programs in the Safe Mode for which you are experiencing the issue – in your case Excel 2013.
You may also follow the same steps to open other Office 2013 applications in Safe Mode.

Once Excel have been opened in the Safe Mode, check if the mouse pointer still flashes or stops flashing.
