Windows 10: mouse pointer sticks to right side of screen

this is on my kid's desktop machine, running windows 10. She has tried the following:
Rebooting multiple times, at least 5

Updating drivers multiple times, at least 4

tried different mouse devices, both cabled USB and wireless and in different ports

unchecking the box for "hide while typing"

uninstalling the last few program apps she installed recently


the mouse moves fine while in safe mode

the mouse also becomes responsive when she has the task manager open but goes back to being unresponsive as soon as she minimizes it or closes it


to define "unresponsive", the mouse goes all the way to the right side of the screen and won't move away from the right side more than an inch or 2 and has a "twitchy" movement to it, like a person with an uncontrollable tic.

Mouse Pointer Sticking


Every 5/10 minutes, my mouse pointer keeps sticking, for around 1 second, then jumps to where it should have been. It's almost as if the pointer isn't actually sticking but the screen isn't updating. This started happening after upgrading to Windows 10.

Any suggestions?

You can customize your mouse in a variety of ways in Windows. To change how your mouse pointer looks, you can follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the Start menu, then click Control Panel.
• Select Mouse, then go to the Pointers tab.
  
• Select the pointer you prefer from the drop-down list, click
  Apply > OK.

If you want to use a pointer that is not on the list, you can download it online. After that, go to Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers tab again, then click
Browse.

Mouse pointer vanishing on right hand side of screen

Hi,

I recently installed windows 10 and my mouse pointer keeps vanishing off the edge of the screen when on the desktop or in a full screen game ~(Civ V can't scroll right across the map), doesn't seem to hit a limit, just keeps going. I don't have this problem
when a window is open it just catches on the edge of the window then. Can anyone help. I've checked to make sure I don't have two display screens set up and my resolution is right for my monitor.
