Windows 10: Mouse Properties Reset

The problem is in my ThinkPad Lenovo laptop.In order to have the middle button, located just above the touchpad, turn into scroll icon so it becomes an auto-scroll combined with the TrackPoint red rubber mouse button in the middle of the laptop I have to launch the Mouse Properties window by pressing Windows Logo + S keys. The issue is that I have to do it again after every restart or shutdown. I am not sue why the setting doesn't stay. I do click the Apply and/or OK buttons in the Mouse Properties window but it doesn't keep the setting persistent.Actually just by opening the Mouse Propert

Mouse loads continuosly

The recent change that you've performed could've updated your mouse driver causing it not to work properly. As an initial step to diagnose your concern, we suggest that you reinstall your mouse driver to reset it to default. To do this, follow the steps
below:

• Type Device Manager in the search box and press Enter.
• Click the drop-down arrow for Mice and other pointing devices to view the driver.
• Right-click the mouse driver and select Properties.

• Click Uninstall.
• Click OK and exit the Device Manager window.

Restart your device to reinstall the driver. Once your device is back on, check if you encounter the same concern.

khalmnpr.exe is a background process that is installed on your system when you set up certain Logitech products, such as their wireless keyboards and mouse. It enables full configuration and diagnostics for these products. This program should be considered
part of the driver package, and thus not touched under normal circumstances.

Step 1.

So, I suggest you try installing mouse driver in compatibility mode and check. Follow the below steps on how to install the driver in compatibility mode.



Note: Make sure you download the updated graphic driver.

• 
  Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
  
• 
  Select Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.
  
• 
  Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
  

Step 2.

For the Cortana and Start menu issue, I suggest you to try the below steps provided and check if it helps.

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
  
• Click on File tab and select Run New Task.
  
• Make sure you have a check mark beside Create this task with administrative privileges.
  
• Type Powershell.
• Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
  
  $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  
• Close the Powershell window
• Reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.

Reset mouse settings in Windows 10?
