Windows 10: Mouse random selecting stuff...

Whenever I'm using a program and I have to type something into a form field, if I move my mouse away after clicking the field I notice the field will no longer become selected.


For example, in Blender or any other program if I'm looking at a video in my browser while working in Blender. If I have to type something in Blender and I move my mouse out of the way towards the browser Blender will no longer be in focus selected and my browser would now be in focus selected.


It also happens within programs as well. Random sections of the program will become active without even clicking.


This happens with a lot of programs I use for some reason. Anyone know why?

Shortcut key for "My Stuff" ?

Using Windows 10, here's the steps I'm taking to search for files on the computer:

• Click Start Menu (or tap the Windows key on the keyboard)
• Start typing a search term
• Click "My Stuff"
• When it finds your file, click it to make the file open
• If you want to open File Explorer and peruse similar files without opening files:
  • After clicking "My Stuff" (in Step 3) go to the bottom area under "Other places to look" and click "File Explorer"
  • File Explorer opens
  
  Question: I don't want to use the mouse to click "My Stuff" in step 3. Is there a shortcut key?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to adjust the mouse speed and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

• Type mouse on the search bar and select Mouse and touchpad settings.
• Select Additional Mouse Settings.
• Select Pointer Options and adjust the mouse speed under Motion.

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Hardware and Devices.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

6. Check if issue persists.
