Windows 10: Mouse randomly going into scroll and cant click certain things

Hello, for about a week not my mouse has been randomly going into scroll wheel all the time like if i click my middle mouse button it just goes back into scroll. The reason it took me so long to post this is because it used to fix by reinstalling my graphics drivers, but it doesent work anymore. I had tried to troubleshoot in my devices, but it doesent find any errors at this point, but it used to give me error code 0x8000FFFF. It also doesent find anything wrong with my mouse. I tried restarting my pc, i troubleshooted everything, ran my antivirus and did a clean driver install with ddu, but

As you are facing issues with scroll options in few of the applications on Windows 10. Try the below and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to change the mouse & touchpad settings and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key, type mouse
  and select Mouse & touchpad settings.
• Choose appropriately with the following options and check if the issue persists.

• Roll the mouse wheel to scroll
• Choose how many lines to scroll each time
  

Method 2:

Step 1: As you are using touchpad, I suggest you to use different mouse to different ports and check if it helps.

Step 2: I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe mode and check if the issue persists.

Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse is sporadically auto scrolling

• When did this problem start to happen?
  
  Since I got the mouse
  

• Can you try using a different mouse to see if it does the same thing?
  
  A USB mouse does not scroll but the wifi arc touch mouse will.
  

• Do you have a different computer that you can test your mouse if its doing the same thing?
  
  I tried the arc touch with a similar Dell and it did not auto scroll as much, just once in about 15 minutes
  

How are you supposed to invoke this auto scroll "feature?" I can't make it happen on my own, it just occurs randomly as I am scrolling through a web page or a Word document,

 

Mouse Scroll Jumps

Hello Nate,

It is possible that the Vertical Scrolling is set to a higher numeric value. To assist you with your concern I would suggest checking the Vertical Scrolling to isolate the issue. Just follow these steps to isolate the issue.

• Press the Windows key and go to Settings.
• Click Devices and go to Mouse.
• Click on Additional mouse options.
• Click on the Wheel tab.
• Put a bullet on Roll the wheel one notch to scroll and change the numeric value to 2 or 3 (Depending on your preference.)
• Click Apply, then OK.

Check if this will resolve the issue.
