Windows 10: Mouse Scroll Wheel not working.

Okay, I have some CMStorm Mouse and this just started today. The scroll wheel won't work. Not completely but not very well. When it like staggers? If that's the term. I go up it doesn't work I try again it goes down, go down it goes up. I cant seem to find any solution to this problem. I think it might be a mouse error as when I shined some light from my flashlight onto it I saw some computer chip sort of coming out. I don't know if its coming out or just loose. Maybe its not the problem at all. There is also a lot of dirt and trash in there and around the edges. I have tried a, Clean boot, Unplugging plugging back in, Tried configuring the settings. That seems about it...… I haven't tried with other mouse's but from other articles and other evidence, it seems like another one will work. Besides I really like the mouse I have right now. I don't want to lose it. So that's about all the detail I can give for now. I'll stay updated. Also here is a picture I found online of my mouse (except mines red) got it online cause I didn't wanna go through the trouble of getting one myself.

• Click Start > Settings.
• Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
• Under Choose how many lines to scroll each time, move the slider to the right to make the speed of your mouse wheel faster.

Mouse Wheel Scroll Too Fast


Hi,
I have a Microsoft Keyboard & Mouse 2000, but, each time I slow the speed of the scrolling using the mouse wheel it works fine, until I reboot the PC. Then, on restarting the speed is super fast again (too fast to really control).
Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Suggest you try:
a. A different mouse
b. Safe mode (will use different driver)
c. Check inside mouse- dirt can get into mouse around the scroll wheel - I find cat hairs accumulate
d.Check the value of




"WheelScrollLines"="0" - probably disables scrolling.
