    This is odd but I've occasionally noticed over the past few weeks , not everyday, seeing my PC's red "on" indicator light glowing even though the PC is off. It doesn't seem like the PC is actually on as I can hit the keyboard & move the mouse with nothing happening, the PC indeed seems off. As soon as I power up, the red indicator light goes off & only lights up again just before arriving at the desktop.

    I have scanned my PC with Malwarebytes Pro & Windows Defender with no viruses detected. Not sure if I should be concerned or not.

    Should I be?

    After installing Windows 10 my keyboard and mouse seem to work on and off. Normally I don't have a problem with them, but there has been several times when I turn on the PC the system seems to just ignore their presence. The mouse shows it has migrated
    but the keyboard hasn't. (under devices). Right now the keyboard and mouse are working as you can see. But, when I turned on this PC this morning there was no response starting at the lock (picture) window at the get go. My solution that works is to unplug
    the PC while it is running (in the lock screen), wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in, and let it boot up. I have done this several times to get the PC to see them and it works. I don't like turning off the PC that way. I did the trouble shoot thing.
    Both devices are wired and didn't have any problems with Windows 7. Also did the driver update thing. I guess I need to buy a new keyboard and mouse?

    would resetting the pc help? also had an issue while resetting a while ago that is the drivers would seem to cease working and the keyboard and mouse also not functioning

    That's normal with a lot of boards turn off at the plug a lot of boards arnt off when turned off there may be lights on mb as well this is so it can wake on lan
