    7-26-2018 my device had an update on 7/22 and then today on the 26th any remote mouse stopped working. I uninstalled the update that put a new file of Intel graphics driver on the machine -- suddenly mouse started working again.

    Intel HD Graphics Driver

    If your Intel Graphics card is one of the following :

    Intel HD Graphics 4200, 4400, 4600 cards (4th Generation)

    Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200 cards (4th Generation)

    Intel HD Graphics 5300 cards (Intel Core M Processors)

    Intel Iris Graphics 6100 (5th Generation)

    Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 (5th Generation)

    Intel HD Graphics 5500, 6000 (5th Generation)

    Intel HD Graphics 515, 520, 530 (6th Generation)

    Intel Iris Graphics 540, 550 (6th Generation)

    Intel Iris Pro Graphics 580 (6th Generation)

    try this, it works for many people:


    1.- Download from this site the beta zip file (win64_154012.zip), and not the exe file:

    Download Beta Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40]

    (for 32-bit download win32_154012.zip).

    2.- Unzip the driver to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

    3.- Right click on Start and choose Device Manager, Display adapters,
    Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.

    4.- Double click to open it (or right click and choose Properties).

    5.- Click on the Driver tab and then on Update Driver.

    6.- On the new tab click on Browse my computer for driver software.

    7.- On the new tab click on Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

    8.- On the new tab click on Have Disk.

    9.- Click on Browse and then choose Windows\Temp\win64_154012\Graphics\igdlh64.inf
    (igdlh32.inf for 32-bit) and click on Open and then
    OK.


    10..- On the new tab where Intel (R) HD Graphics Family is showing click on
    Next and let the driver to install.

    11.- The new Driver Version is 20.19.15.4326 and is digitally signed.

    Be aware to follow step by step all the procedure and do not try to use the wizard to update the driver directly, in many cases it won’t work.

  3. Display driver intel HD graphics Driver stopped responding

    I just updated to Window 10, but even before I updated and had Windows 8, I was getting an error message (and my computer was blacking out) that said Display Driver Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 8R stopped responding and has recovered. Any ideas
    on how to fix this? I am not a techie, so need step by step instructions. thank you.

    Hi Harpinder;

    First, I want to thank you for replying and offering a possible solution to this problem. It is appreciated.

    Second, don't assume that I didn't follow instructions or that I don't use web search (google/bing). I do. I use it heavily.

    Third, the solution and instructions given did NOT work for me. No matter what I did - including extracting the Intel drivers and pointing the update drivers action to the extracted folder - I could not get the update to install. It always gave me the
    "you have the latest drivers" response. However, you did prompt me to think about another process I might try...

    Forth, what did work for me is this...

    • Download the Intel HD5000 drivers from this location. It is OK just to download the exe. But do NOT run the installer... just save it: Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10* [15.40][4th Gen]
    • Open Device Manager
    • Open properties for Display Adapters > Intel HD Graphics 5000
    • Click Driver tab and then Uninstall button.
    • In the uninstall confirmation box, click the checkbox to "Delete the driver software for this device"
    • Click OK to proceed with the delete. The system will need to restart, and when it does it will come up with the Microsoft Basic Display driver listed in the Device Manager > Display Adapters.
    • Do NOT run scan for new hardware.
    • Run the Intel HD5000 driver installer that was downloaded in step #1.

    Those are the steps that worked for me. It would be great to hear feedback on the steps that worked for others.
