    Mouse stops working- need right-click it to use again


    Has this post appeared already? I have had a glitch after submitting my post.

    The mouse on my PC, Win 10 64bit, has suddenly developed a habit of freezing a few seconds after it has been moved. I have to right-click it before it will move again. Every time. I can't see any setting in the mouse driver in Control Panel to cause it to do that.

    Does anyone have an idea about this? It is very annoying.

    Right mouse click stopped working again

    The above issue was successfully resolved about 1 or 2years ago but it resurfaced and I can no longer right click icons on the task bar to see the contents of those folders or icons? Tried a search to located the original solution but failed to find
    it. Need help!

    Right mouse click stopped working again

    No changes to Pc

    Updates are installed

    Using Administrator's account.

    Did the clean booth as outlined but the problem still persists.

    Wireless or wired mouse? If wireless, replace battery.

    It also may be due to power saving settings for mouse or even USB port.

    @Rihard

    Sounds silly, but if it's a wireless, try re-seating the dongle or re-pairing if Bluetooth. If wired, re-seat the USB cable.
