Windows 10: Mouse Stops working randomly, Only Device Manager refreshing fixes it.

I have a problem with my laptop and the mouse. The mouse stops working randomly during the day. The pointer stays and I have to use the touchpad to fix it. The only way to fix it is to go into Device manager and to Select the Discover new Devices button. I used a usb mouse before and I thought this could be the usb port. I have now changed to a microsoft Bluetooth mouse and the same problem still persists. Any idea what could cause this?


My windows is updated, I have done a sfc /scannow. Is there a specific driver that controls this?

Any help is appreciated.

Device manager refresh causing mouse lag

I am all of the sudden getting mouse lag (mouse freezes up for 5-10 seconds every 30-60 second) due to my device manager constantly refreshing, or at least that's what I think it's from. I pulled up the device manager and the task manger to find what is happening. The sequence is: mouse freezes and device manager refreshes, then I notice Microsoft Management Console appears at the top of my Task Manager. So it seems the Microsoft Management Console is doing something to cause the Device Manager to refresh and then cause the Bluetooth mouse to freeze up. I'm not tech savvy, so I know I don't understand how all this works. I just need some help fixing it. Thanks ahead of time!

 

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - stops working

Recently after an update to Windows 10, my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse stops working.

After looking at some posts. The following steps seem to work.

In Device Manager, under Bluetooth uninstall devices, then under actions Scan for hardware changes.

This seems to work and the mouse works again however, these steps are repeated over the course of the day as the mouse stops working randomly.

I also notice that under other devices I have a number of devices that seem to be unknown





I also have a Microsoft phone 950xl and 640 however these drivers are for other nokia phones which we do not have.

Can someone suggest a permanent fix to (a) the Bluetooth mouse not needing to be reset the way I have been doing this (as listed above) and (b) a fix for these other devices.

The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron 15 - 7000 Series

 

Internet randomly stops working on PC (works fine on other devices)

Also, I did the chkdsk C: /F /R but it didn't do anything.

It got stuck at 21% every single time and when ever I restart my PC it constantly starts scanning. Not sure how to stop it.
