    I have the same issue that was never answered in this locked thread link at the bottom. The issue was not solved so why lock the thread?I have had two/three monitors for over a decade so I am very familiar with Display Settings, resolution, placement of monitors, identify 1/2, making one main monitor etc. As of this morning Aug 2, 2022, I cannot move the mouse to second monitor. I dont know what happened but mouse will NOT go to second monitor, its trapped in first monitor. I can even move a window to the extent the mouse stays on screen one but I cannot enter second screen with the mouse s

  2. Mouse skips from 1st monitor to 2nd monitor while typing

    I see that your mouse skips from first monitor to second monitor while typing.

    Please answer the below questions to assist you better,

    1. What is the make and model of the mouse?

    2. Is it a wired mouse or a wireless mouse?

    Follow the below methods and check if it helps,

    Method 1: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

    Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    a) Type
    Troubleshooting in the Search Bar and then
    Enter
    .

    c)
    Select View all on the top left corner.

    d)
    Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.



    Method 2: Update the mouse driver from the Device Manager.


    I would suggest you to manually update the Mouse drivers from the
    Device Manager and check if it helps.

    Steps:-

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Select Device manager.
    • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right click on Mouse driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Restart the computer.
    Method 3: Enable Mouse Trails

    1.
    Type Control Panel in
    Search Bar
    and then Enter.

    2.
    Select Mouse.

    3.
    In Pointer Option Check the
    Display pointer trails.

    1. Does this issue persists only after connecting the secondary monitor?
    2. Are you using an External Mouse? If yes, how is it connected?
    3. What is the make and model of the mouse?
    4. Which version of Windows is installed on your device?

    Scroll mouse up and down on stacked monitor setup

    Hello,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that you want to move the mouse up and down between a stacked dual monitor setup, you can follow the steps mentioned below and change the mouse scrolling settings.



    1. Go to Settings > System >
      Display.
    2. Now under Select and rearrange displays click and hold the
      monitor 1.
    3. Now move it above the monitor 2 and adjust accordingly.
    4. Click on Apply and close settings.


    After changing the settings you will be able to scroll up and down on the stacked monitor setup.
