No hardware listed in Device manager?

Humour me, go into task manager and kill rundll32.exe and then re-open device manager.

  3. Integrated Camera not working, no imaging devices in device manager

    Hello,

This issue may arise if the driver of the camera is outdated. We suggest that you follow these troubleshooting steps:

Method 1: Install updates from the manufacturer.

    • Open the Device Manager on your PC.
      • In Windows 10, enter Device Manager in the search box next to Start, and then select Device Manager in
        the results.
      • In Windows 8.1, swipe in from the right edge of the screen and then tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move
the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.) Then enter Device Manager in the search box, select Settings, and select Device Manager in
        the results.
    • Expand Imaging devices.
    • Right-click the camera that's having problems, and select Update Driver Software.
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software, and then follow the on-screen instructions. This might include restarting your PC.
Method 2: Install your PC's default drivers.
    • Open the Device Manager on your PC.
      • In Windows 10, enter Device Manager in the search box next to Start, and then select Device Manager in
        the results.
      • In Windows 8.1, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
    • Select Browse my computer for driver software.
    • Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
    • Select USB Video Device, select Next, and then follow the on-screen instructions. This might include restarting your PC.
If the issue persists, kindly contact your device manufacturer for better assistance.

Do let us know if you have any other concerns.

Mouse stuck in the corner of the screen unless device manager or task manager is open

Windows 10 nonresponcive unless task manager is open.

    • How did you install your Windows 10? Using ISO or full version installation disk?
    • Did you install all available updates after the installation?

We're looking forward to your reply.

I installed from the IOS, there is a partition on my hard drive and I am thinking windows installed from there, however, I went to settings, recovery, etc, etc.

All updates are installed. In fact, I am guilty of not knowing whether the problem was present BEFORE the updates, as right after the wipe, and installation, I had windows update everything then tested.

    NOTE:

I have noticed that, if I am in Edge, or any program when the problem happens, I can still operate the current window.

Example: I'm browsing in Edge, chrome, etc. and click on a desktop item or on something in the taskbar, and nothing happens. If I click on a link, a tab, or anything in edge {the open program} it works fine.

I then press [ctrl+alt+del], click on task manager, [the mouse becomes responsive at this point highlighting what you mouse over] I click on task manager again [2 times total] and then the task manager opens up. Now all I need to do is close task manager by
clicking the "X" in the corner, and everything is fine. it may reoccur in 2 minutes, or it may work fine for half a day before it reoccurs.
