    Mouse wakes Windows 10 from sleep despite disallowed


    I am experiencing an intriguing wake-from-sleep issue on my Windows 10 PC.Relevant system configuration:- ASUSTeK P8H77-I motherboard, Intel Core i3 processor Ivy Bridge, BIOS v1102 latest- Windows 10 22H2, fully patched including optional driver updates, Hyper-V enabled- Microsoft Pro Intellimouse wired- Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center installedI have cleared the 'Allow this device to wake the computer' checkbox for the mouse so that my cats cannot accidentally wake the computer by pushing the mouse.When I put the PC to sleep using the Sleep option in the menu or by pressing the s

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

    I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the command line below:
    Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

    3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

    If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

    Keyboard and mouse cannot wake the computer after sleep

    My new computer (windows 10) cannot wake from sleep by keyboard or mouse, despite that in device management the keyboard and mouse are allowed to wake the computer. The drivers are up-to-date. Only the power button wakes the pc after sleep. In Management
    Engine Interface (power management) I have corrected the "wrong" setting that the computer is allowed to turn off this device to save power. Besides, I turned off hibernation with a restart as suggested. Does someone maybe have a solution for this problem

    Mouse wakes Windows 10 from sleep despite disallowed

    WIndows 10 will not wake up from sleep or hibernation

    I am running windows 10 19041.388 on an HP All in One PC and cannot get it to wake up from sleep. I have done the following:

    1. Allow mouse and keyboard to allow device to wake up computer.
    2. Updated drivers
    3. Turn off fast start up
    4. Re-enable Hibernation via Command Prompt
    5. USB Selective Suspend Setting - Disabled
    I have tried the above steps using both a wired HP mouse and a wireless Jelley Comb mouse
