Windows 10: Move license from destroyed PC to new laptop

Hello,Previously I bought a license window in the Microsoft store and after some time my PC was totally destroyed, I bought a new laptop and install windows 11 and i want to move this license.I have no chance to do something with the old pc as it was totally destroyed.

My Windows License is listed on my account page tied to my laptop. It gives me the option to Remove the PC. Will this realease the license to be reappliedt omy new computer.

 

Transferring Digital License to new PC

Hello,

I have been trying to activate Windows 10 on my new computer using the digital license I have connected to my Microsoft account. I bought Windows 10 Pro digitally from Microsoft a few years ago and have been running it on my laptop since. My new desktop is
meant to replace my laptop. Following some guides online, I started the Activation Troubleshooter and clicked on "I changed hardware on this device recently." It opens a list of devices that I'm signed in on so I can choose which one to activate. My new desktop
PC doesn't show up in that list though.

I finished installing Windows on my new PC last night, so I'm not sure if some kind of activation servers need time to update the list of devices my Microsoft account is running on. But I guess this is why I'm posting this question here.

Just to be clear, I will be using my desktop as my main PC, which I want Windows activated on. My laptop is just going into storage or something, so the account should be deactivated on it.
