Move OS and files to new drive.

My son’s PC is running out of space 500GB SSD and, instead of adding a storage drive, I want to move the whole volume to a new 2TB SSD, including the OS without having to buy a new W10 licence. What default Windows tools and processes would you advise? Once completed I would remove the old SSD, leaving him still with just one drive C:

  3. How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

    I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.

Remove an OS installation without removing files?

There's no way to keep files and delete OS without installing a new OS. You can create a new partition on that drive, drop your files there and format partition with OS.
