Windows 10: Move taskbar location, orientation and Feedback options

I would like to have the taskbar vertical on the left side for reasons related to less desktop space taken up and ease of use/accessibility. Would not care to hear about data on how often this was used on Windows 10 and certainly not about justifying the bottom taskbar left. I have an enterprise account so was forced onto Windows 11 and have tried the registry editor approach unsuccessfully. I also have no Feedback Hub available and am finding it very difficult to submit feedback as everything seems to point to the Feedback Hub. Change the location of taskbar on multiple display Windows 10

Let me answer your query regarding taskbar location on multiple displays.

Do you have multiple monitors connected to the same computer?

Please be informed that right now there is no option to change the location of taskbar to the scenario which you mentioned.

As this is the option you would like to see in windows 10, you may provide your suggestions in the feedback app.

It will be directly referred by our developer’s team for further improvement.

Follow the steps:

• Go to Start, enter the phrase Windows Feedback, and then select Windows Feedback.
• See if someone else has given similar feedback by entering the topic, such as Microsoft Music.
• If you find similar feedback, select it, add any details, and then select Me too.
• To narrow your search to a specific category, pick the category that most closely matches your feedback (so it gets to the right people quickly). For example, for feedback about the Music app, select Apps > Music.
• If you don’t find any similar feedback, select New Feedback, and choose a topic from Select a category and then select a subcategory.
  
• Enter your feedback (the more details the better!), add a screenshot if you can, and you're done.

However you may follow the below steps to change the location of the taskbar (changes the location on both the monitors to same place) and check.

1. Right click on the taskbar and click on properties.

2. Select the taskbar tab.

3. In the “Taskbar location on the screen” drop down list you may select your preferred location and click on apply.

Weird Taskbar Orientation

Welcome to the forum!

It is hard to tell the orientation of the TaskBar in the capture...

• However, to decrease the height of the TaskBar, right-click on its empty area, and uncheck: Lock taskbar (if checked)
• Place the mouse pointer at the top edge of the TaskBar until the pointer changes into a double-headed arrow.
• Drag the TaskBar toward the bottom of the screen to decrease the height.
• Lock the TaskBar by right-clicking on its empty area, and check: Lock the TaskBar

Orientation option disabled in Windows 10

Provide the information below to help you better.

• Was the ‘Orientation’ option previously available in your Laptop?
• Did you make any recent hardware or software changes?
• Are you able change the orientation via Intel HD graphics icon located on system tray (Located on bottom right of your screen)?
  

You can change the Orientation of your screen can be done by using the shortcut below.

Press Alt + Ctrl key on keyboard and then press Arrow keys.

I would also suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Uninstall and Install Display drivers.

I suggest you to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager, restart the system and download the latest Display drivers from the manufacturer’s website and try installing them on the system.


Steps to uninstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

• Windows Logo + X keys on the keyboard.
• Click on Device Manager from that list.
• Search for the Graphics Card from the device list, right click on it and then select
  Uninstall. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
• Once you have uninstalled the drivers, Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install them and check if it works.
