  1. Move the taskbar to be vertical left, upgraded to WIN11 lost functionality

We have POS and Admin machines that require the taskbar to be vertical left, upgraded to WIN11; no ability to relocate as needed..This is a basic feature of explorer that is needed for working across multiple displays and devices. Why? Please listen to your customers rather than imposing an arbitrary change some poindexter assumes is no longer required.

How is the vertical taskbar implementation going?

    Hi,

when is the vertical taskbar functionality coming back? It was promised many months ago.

This is preventing me from upgrading to Win11, it is an absolute dealbreaker. Horizontal taskbar with an ultrawide monitor is horrible. Why is it so difficult to implement, when there are vertical taskbars in every previous version of Windows (and basically every other OS with GUI)?

    Cheers

  3. moving the entire windows taskbar to the left of the screen in a vertical position

Are their plans to return option of physically moving the entire windows taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the left of the screen in a vertical position? Widescreen monitors have gained in popularity. I have been using two of them for a few years now. I love being able to have two office documents open side by side both at 100% and my task bar on the vertically on left side of the screen all on one monitor. I do not want the task bar taking up space at the bottom of the screen since I do not have much height to the monitor. Putting the taskbar in the vertical position on the left worked well in previous versions of windows. When the taskbar was on the far left of the screen (not just the alignment of the icons but the entire taskbar) I can keep the taskbar visible on the screen. Now I am forced to hide the taskbar even though I don't like it hidden. Having the taskbar at the bottom of the screen takes up too much room when you are working with an ultrawide monitor since those monitors are not very tall. Please bring back the option of allow the taskbar to be in the vertical position at the left side of the screen.

Disoriented without the vertical taskbar and left hand side clock

Totally disoriented and missing the vertical taskbar, but especially missing the left hand side clock. Disappointed.
