Windows 10: Move Windows 10 Pro licence to new computer

I have window10 pro installed in my SSD M2 disk. I ave purchades new motherboard and CPU, and I wllle like to move my Windows SSD M2 to the new computer and activate my windows 10 pr licence there. Question 1. Can I move my SSD M2 with windows and all programs and reactivate my windows 10 pro licence there, and how ?

Windows 10 pro licence not able to move it

Hello,

I have a Windows 10 Pro license that I Purchases with the purpose of using on my new computer that I was planning to buy. I asked for a non OEM licence so I can transfer it when I upgrade my motherboard. Since December I got delayed on buying my PC and ended
up using an old laptop for personal use. Since it was very old. (xp SP2) I installed windows 10 PRO on it and used the licence I have till my new PC. to test out windows 10.

As you can imagine now I cannot transfer my licence due an error 0xC004C008 (licence used on another computer).

I removed the licence from the old laptop using the command slmgr /upk.

And it was uninstalled successfully.

Any advice ? I`m thinking that the Microsoft sales support person might have just recommended me a wrong licence type or something like this to make a sale. (this was bought from Microsoft directly)

If somebody encountered this issue, I will be grateful for any suggestions because I cannot buy a new licence, my old laptop is basically dead due to battery problems now and I will never end up using that licence with that laptop.

Transferring two licences between three computers

I have two windows 10 licences, one used on computer that doesn't work anymore and another on lap top in use. I'm buying a new computer and I would like to move licence I have on lap top, as it's pro version, to new computer and put licence from not working
computer to lap top.

To explain in more detail:

Current situation:

• Lap top - Windows 10 pro licence, upgraded from windows 8.1. To my knowledge it's not OEM. I have reinstalled system from complete format few times on this device with this licence. I still have product key from 8.1.
• Not working computer - Windows 10 home licence, upgraded from windows 7. For sure not OEM. I have reinstalled system from complete format few times on this device with this licence. I still have product key from 7 and access to hard drive windows is installed
  on.
• New computer - Has no licence.

What I want to achieve:

• New computer - Windows 10 pro
• Lap top - Windows 10 home

I read this
article on how to transfer licence, but I'm not exactly sure how to proceed in my case.

Also how would it be best to install Windows 10, I only know how to get files from installation media, but I'm under impression that is bound to licence and computer?

Did you purchase a Windows 10 Pro upgrade licence or a full Windows 10 Pro licence form the Microsoft Store?

If that is a full licence, then that will have transfer rights to a new PC, if that is an upgrade licence then it can only be used to upgrade that original PC

While that is the official line, the reality is you can use that licence to upgrade another PC . . .

Simply install Windows 10 Pro on the new PC and then run the Activation troubleshooter to resolve any activation issues . . .
