  1. Moved my HDD with Windows 10 on it to a new computer and ran into issues

So just today, I built a new PC, with the only part that I carried over into the new build being my old HDD with Windows 10 on it. I was able to boot up the HDD with no issue and just sat back and let Windows download new drivers and sort stuff out, but then once I actually unlocked it, I found that the formatting for everything was all messed up. Everything is of significantly lower quality it looks as though the screen itself is more zoomed in?, all the files on my desktop have seemingly grown in size to fill up the screen, stuffing the files that it couldn't fit into the top left corner.

    :)

Moving slave HDD to a new computer.

My current desktop has 2 HDDs; a 250GB HDD where WIN10 is installed (Master), and a 1TB HDD where games and some files are stored (Slave). I am upgrading computers and wish to move the 1TB drive to the new desktop. The new computer has a 500GB HDD with
WIN10. I know many games write into Windows files (My Documents, Program Files, etc) so while most of the games files are on the Slave drive, there are footprints left on the Master drive. How do I move the 1TB HDD to the new desktop and maintain the integrity
of the games, while also cleaning up the Master drive on the old computer so I can sell it? Can it even be done? Do I have to uninstall all the games and reformat the Slave drive? (Please say no!!!) I have access to all the games so I can reinstall, but
that would be a royal pain. Thanks.

  3. Moving Windows 10 from a hdd to ssd on a new computer

My friend has just bought a brand new computer and has had me install a 2TB ssd to replace the 2TB hdd which was originally installed in the computer. I want to migrate the Windows 10 OS to the new ssd and remove the hdd after this has been done. Can I
just copy the files or do I need to buy a program to move the os?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
