Moved non-boot drives from old PC to new, but now Old PC says "reboot and select proper...

I've spent most of the day building and setting up a new PC running windows 10. After the initial setup, I decided to move 2 of my SSDs and my one HDD over to my new machine so I could access their files more easily. I opted to leave the other pc's M.2 drive in there, since it contains or at least contained the operating system and was the main boot drive for that computer. But now that I've moved the other non-boot drives over, the computer refuses to boot. I went into the BIOS it's a TUF GAMING x570-PLUS WIFI board and tried to set the default boot option to that m.2 storage. No dice. I

Moving a old windows boot drive to a new pc that has a new boot drive

    Hi Brenden,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Rest assured you can connect the old drive to your new PC and wipe that drive, that will not affect the new drive that is in the new PC.

Insert the old drive into the PC, then boot up the PC

Open Disk Management (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Then in the bottom pane, for each partition on the old drive, right click it and select 'Delete Volume'

When the whole drive is marked as 'Unallocated Space', right click that and select 'New - Simple Volume' and accept the defaults.

  3. Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.

Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device...after reboot?

Hello all. Getting a little frustrated here. A couple of weeks ago we had a user come in on a Monday morning to find that her pc was displaying the classic message "Reboot and select proper boot device...". Tried popping in a windows disk and fixing the MBR, no luck. Ended up reinstalling windows and her few programs back on it. All was good after this. For about a day. She came in the next day to find the same message. So at that point we decided that more than likely the drive was bad even though oddly enough it tested out fine. It was a Corsair 60gb SSD.

Last week we swapped that Corsair with a 64gb Crucial SSD and installed Windows. We then created a backup image of that drive. All was good until Thursday when her power strip that the PC was plugged into got tripped. Start up the computer for find "Reboot and select proper boot device..." message. So, apply the backed up image to the SSD since repairing the MBR didn't work.

Now this morning she comes in and the PC is running fine. Attempts to open Microsoft Word and she gets a pop-up stating there isn't enough disk space. So, she then restarts and upon booting back up gets "Reboot and select proper boot device..."

Any ideas what is causing this? Is it something with the mobo or do I just have horrible luck and replaced the bad SSD with another bad SSD?
