Windows 10: movie maker 2012 and mp4 cant import/play

i cant play any of my files or even play a mp4 on my windows 8.1 build 9299 i prove a screenshoot it a codec problem?idk i can open some mp4 normally yes i can import some mp4 but these are my intro and outro i spend alot of time so is there a error? and i can play mp3 just like importing them the error in the screenshoot so i dont have to tell you the error

Windows Live Movie Maker won't play MP4 from phone

• Are you able to play other videos from the phone?
• Was it working before?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Try to run Hardware Troubleshooter. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any new device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly.

a. Press Windows Logo Key+X then click on Search option.

b. Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes and click on
Troubleshooting.

c. In the new window, click View all on the left pane.

d. In the list of options, click on Hardware and devices.

e. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

Windows Movie Maker not recognizing .avi files

We would suggest you to repair the Windows Live Movie Maker and check.

Follow the below steps to repair Windows Live Movie Maker.

• Type appwiz.cpl in the search box and hit Enter.
• Right click Windows Essentials 2012 and select repair.

DVD burner for Movie maker mp4 files

Movie maker 2018 works great on Windows 10 but I can't find DVD burner software for it's mp4 video files. Any suggestions?. Frank (UK)
