Windows 10: Movie Maker files from 2016 that I desperately need to recover

Hello!

I have some videos that we made in Movie Maker in 2016 that I am no longer able to access since the product is discontinued. I am desperate to gain access to these movies, as they capture the adoptions and graduations of my children. Is there ANY way to gain access to these files?

Thank you all for your help. After uninstalling 4 times and downloading the version from the site "derekimo's" suggested and installing, it finally works. Again, Thanks to ALL.

 

Windows Movie Maker not recognizing .avi files

We would suggest you to repair the Windows Live Movie Maker and check.

Follow the below steps to repair Windows Live Movie Maker.

• Type appwiz.cpl in the search box and hit Enter.
• Right click Windows Essentials 2012 and select repair.
