Windows 10: Movies and TV bypasses volume levels on app and on PC

Hello,I have run into this problem on multiple PCs and would like to know if there is a fix for it. The volume control when watching a movie on movies and tv does not work even if setting it to mute. The volume stays at the highest level. Also the volume does not change when adjusting the pc volume. Mute does work on the PC volume though. The only app that does this is movies and tv. Anything else is strictly controlled by pc volume settings. Troubleshoot does not detect any issues with volume.

Movies & TV app not working properly.

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

Get Movies & TV from the Microsoft Store

Movies and TV App Max volume bypasses app and system volume control

Notes: Drivers updated and all Windows trouble shooting procedures already done. If you suggest this, you are useless. The app is broken. Fix it.

I highly expect a boxed "try running the trouble shooting" drivers blah blah blah . already did this. Please don't disappoint me and please give me a useless response. I am counting on you Microsucks.

Edit: It seems the issue is very base level. For example, if I open the movies and tv app and play a movie, Red Dead will have an error on start saying there are NO AVAILABLE SOUND DEVICES. If I close the Movies and TV app, I can start Red Dead with no issues. This is a real problem. CONT: Actually it's even worse. This app will stop all sound for all other devices including system sound when running. It seem to hijack the base level sound. Very strange and nothing I can do about it. Please fix this immediately as I cannot watch anything right now.

Edit Edit: I opened it after playing games for a bit and now the volume control works on the app and the system sound. what a wacky bug. I am 100% expecting the sound to fart out again in the future.
