    Hello, I'm getting a disturbing skip/stutter in the Movies & TV app under Windows 11 when playing back downloaded content. These are 720p downloads Alita: Battle Angel, etc. being played back at 4K resolution on an LG television in full-screen mode. The host machine is relatively new with an NVidia RTX 2080 video card. Playback is normal for 2 or 3 or 4 minutes; then there is a noticeable skip. I'd say around 200 milliseconds worth of frames gets dropped.I also notice a dip in Task Manager's 3D chart, coinciding with the skip:Troubleshooting steps tried:- Updated NVidia dr

    Please don't reset the app or do any those steps that the previous poster suggested, they're unnecessary and can cause other problems.

    The first step to try is restoring your purchases from within the settings menu of the Movies & TV app.

    Click the … then select Settings, select Restore my available video purchases.

    Give it a few minutes to run, then go back to the Purchased tab and try playing the movie again.

    Hi,

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key.
    • Type Windows Powershell.
    • Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
    • Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.
    get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

    Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

    Movies & TV app

    Until today I have been able to play videos from a memory card with the Movies & TV app. Now when I attempt to play one I am asked how I want to open it and Movies & TV is not listed in options. I tried Windows Media player but had no luck. What has changed
    and how do I get back to the app (Movies & TV) that was working prior to today?
