Windows 10: Movies & TV App Hangs

Hi folks,

ever since upgrade the movies and tv app hangs when playing video. Always happens regardless of any video and happens 3/4 times each time I use it.

I can't find anything out there to help, does any one have any ideas?

Media apps - Groove Music, Movies & TV, Netflix - All failing

Suddenly my Groove Music, Movies & TV, and Netflix apps are all failing.

Movies & TV stays stuck on the splash screen for a few minutes then crashes.

Grove Music opens but doesn't show any content. Changing sections causes it to hang.

Netflix hangs as soon as I select to start playback of a show.

These symptoms were accompanied by failure-to-wake events in which a solid field with the system accent color would display with the spinning busy indicator (with no text) and a flickering screen, which forces me to reboot the hard way.

How to reinstall Windows Movie & TV in Win10?

Thought my Win10 upgrade from Win8.1 had gone without a hitch. However, today had a problem when trying to use Windows Movie & TV. When the Windows Movies & TV app icon is tapped, it just goes away without activating the program. On the Apps & features
drop down menu, Movies & TV is listed, but the move and uninstall boxes are grayed out.

How do I reinstall Windows Movie & TV in Win10?
