Windows 10: Movies & Tv App only Displaying Black Screen

System Details in Specs are
(Antivirus running though may not be correct, currently running Avast 17.5.2303) perhaps should stuck with Defender after last clean install

No matter what videos I try to play in the app there black, no audio or picture or sometimes frozen picture but doesn't do anything else, already reset the store, and reset the app itself? should I buckle down and do a system reset? last time I restored my system image, it wouldn't activate afterwards, so got stuck doing a clean install

Hi,

I want to buy MS Wireless Display Adapter

and before I would like to know if it is possible to cast only picture (using photos app) or movie (using Movies&Tv app) or music (using groove app) ?

I know there already is "cast to device" function in Movies&Tv App.

Movies and Tv app won't play any videos in windows 10

I have windows 10 installed via upgrade in my desktop computer and the movies & TV app won't play any videos at all. Only black screen with the dots running at the bottom. Movies and Tv app shows the video files in my hard drive but when you click on it
to play, only black screen appears. If i play those files mentioned above in VLC, Power Media Player (Cyberlink) they all play the video files. Even windows media player played them. What do you think is causing this problem.

 

Any Ideas or Solution to this issue? highly annoying, Running latest AMD video driver WHQL 17.7.2
