Windows 10: Moving a license from a Laptop to a newer one.

Hi guys, just got a new laptop and managed to find the Windows License and also used the commands in CMD to remove it from the old laptop.Still, my new laptop shows as not activated with an error code 0xC004C003. It is not a OEM license as well.Any ideas how to resolve this? Should i fully reinstall Windows on the older laptop?Cheers.

Can't move windows 10 pro license to new laptop

Hi!

I have laptop with windows 10 pro digital license connected with my Microsoft account. I bought new laptop and want to move my windows 10 license. I installed windows 10 pro. In activation options I choose Troubleshooting -> I changed hardware recently ->
choose my old laptop in list and get "Unable to activate windows" error without specific error code.

Is it possible to activate Windows 10 pro with digital license on new laptop?

Hi Community,

I'm a Mac user and recently I have been forced to use a windows machine because of my job. So, I bought an HP laptop (Linux by default) and installed Windows 10 Home on it. The laptop hardware is not very great but does the work yet, I'm sure in near future
I will have to buy a better laptop...

So, you know the background, now my question is that if I am buying a windows10 license for $169 and activate my windows on this current machine. Will I be able to use the same in future with the newer laptop?

It's obvious that when I move to the new laptop, I will sign-out from the current one and will sell it away or whatever.

What I need to know is that do I have to buy a new license in future again when I am moving to a new laptop or not?
