Windows 10: Moving a user from Windows 10 Pro on old computer to Windows 11 Pro on a new computer...

What can safely be moved in AppData on old computer to new computer?I have always been told that moving everything from Appdata to a new computer is dangerous and potentially make the new computer unstable, so i have always parsed the old appdata folder and only moved select items, however i have a user that wants all their office toolbars moved over from Office 365 on old to Office 365 on new.Note : User profile no longer loads on old computer for unknown reason but i still have access to the users\user folder tree with all its contents including appdata.

how to activate windows 11 pro with a windows 10 pro key on a device with windows 11 home installed

my old computer has windows 10 pro and I'm trying to move that pro license over to my new computer with windows 11 home. I've went through the steps of deactivating and removing the key from my old computer but when I enter it onto my new computer it doesn't take.

 

Windows can't find digital license to activate/transfer on new computer. Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro.

I am having trouble transferring my Windows 10 Pro license from an old computer that is barely working to my new computer I have built. The Windows 10 Pro license is a retail license purchased from Microsoft. My new computer is running Windows 11 Pro. Both computers show in my devices list on my account.

Do I need to do anything else to deactivate the other license on the old computer? Original Windows 10 Pro license was purchased in 2018.

Moving a Windows 10 Pro license to a new computer

I have a Windows 10 Pro retail license (I bought it from the Microsoft Store website) and want to move it from an old computer to my new laptop but I'm getting an error about the license being used on another computer.

I moved my old SSD to the new Laptop and did a clean install so the old instalation has been 'deteted'. My old machne has a motherboard problem with the TPM.

How can I activate Windows 10 Pro on my new computer and will I have problems if I ever need to reinstall it on the new machine?
