Windows 10: Moving files/folders

Hello.I have been trying to move folders from C drive to my extended storage device D. i have followed the instructions given on a different forum, i right clicked on the folder, went to properties and then i wanted to search for location tab but i couldn't find it. only tabs i have are: General, Sharing, Security, Previous Versions, Customize.I also under general see Location: C:\ and then the folder. this i can't click on. So right now i have no way of moving my folders or files to my D drive. i have filled the C drive up completely and can't work with anything now. Thanks for any help.

You can put the files you want to share in the Shared Documents folder. Files stored in the Shared Documents folder or its subfolders are always available to other users on your computer.

Files remain in original folder after moving them to new folder in file explorer

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the File Explorer may be caused by some configuration or files mismatched. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you reset the folder settings from the
Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
• Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
  Yes to confirm.
• Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.

Let's work on this. You can follow the steps provided below to help move photos and videos on a new folder:

• Swipe left and select File Explorer app.
• Choose the folder where the photos and videos are saved.
• Select the items you want to move.
• Press the Move button.
  
• You can create a New folder by pressing the Ellipsis (. . .) button or you can press the
  Up button located at the right side corner of the screen to move the items to an existing folder.
  
• Tap Check or Done button when finished.
